On Saturday, June 24th, 2017 at noon through Sunday, June 25th at 4pm the annual Amateur Radio Field Day took place. The Jamestown Amateur Radio Club set up on the south end of the island at Jamestown Reservoir. We invited the general public to join us from Noon to 4pm on Saturday.
We wanted to invite anybody that has an interest in wireless communications to come out and share in the experience. We had antennas and radios set up that were able to communicate with many other amateur radio clubs and individuals that were also participating in the annual field day.
The general public was invited to this annual event. Anybody that was interested in learning more about amateur radio was encouraged to leave their information with the current radio operators that were on site, during the event.
Field Day can be many different things to many people, but we hope we made it an enjoyable experience for anybody that decided to stop by.
