This year’s Field Day was a great success! We would like to thank everyone that came out for a visit, and to operate.
The totals are as follows:
– 220 Phone contacts
– 2 digital contacts via FT8
– Total QSO points = 224 X 2 multiplier = 448.
For bonus points:
– We ran 100% emergency power for 200 points
– Media publication in the Jamestown Sun for 100 points
– Operated in a Public Location for 100 points
– Operating site visited by Jerry (Stutsman County Emergency Manager) for 100 points
– Two youth operators for 20 points
– Submitted log via Web for 50 points
giving the Club a total of 570 bonus.
The event was a success, as we made more contacts than last year.
Something that would be great for next year is to work CW. This could be done via computer or ear. Anyone willing or able to help make this happen, please let us know.
