Kids Day

Twice a year, ARRL offers Kids Day, which is designed to promote Amateur Radio to our youth. All ham radio operators are encouraged to share the excitement with their kids or grandkids, a Scout troop, a church or the general public!

This year, the Jamestown Amateur Radio Club will be setting up a public event at Jamestown High School. The event will run from Noon until 6pm (local time). Kids of all ages are invited to visit us and have a chance to get on the air. The kids will be able to contact other kids and amateur radio operators, across the country, and possibly the world, that are participating in the event.

There is a really simple exchange, when making contacts, which is just your name, age, location and favorite color.
